Las Vegas, Nevada

Well, what can I say?  The ultimate in showiness, tackiness and bad taste .... this is Las Vegas!  People on the street (in the strip) are without doubt insane.  Dressed in all sort of attire, whatever costume you can think of, there'll be someone here dressed in it.  It's like everybody is doing anything for money.  I went for a walk downtown for a look at some of the more local establishments - dinners and chapels and it got a little scary the further out I ventured.  Homeless people in the street, bars on all the windows of houses - not an attractive sight.
Las Vegas is a reasonably expensive place as a visitor to the hotels and casinos, not only that, anyone who hands you something, opens a door, or even looks at you for that matter, the rule is that you must give them money .... at least a dollar.
Also, there seems to be a number of families who visit Vegas.  I would have this unusual given the saturation of poker machines everywhere ..... and I mean everywhere.  Additionally, Vegas is pretty loose, it's not like some kind of family oriented theme park.

My ridiculously extravagant hotel room with a view of the strip from the bedroom and spa - way too much for just me
